Dr. Michelle Simon - first trained as a Developmental Neurobiologist interested in the development of the nervous system at the University of California, Irvine and the University of Florida College of Medicine. She later trained further as a Physician and Neuropathologist at the University of Florida College of Medicine and University of California, San Diego; and later as a Pediatrician at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. She is Board Certified in Anatomic and Neuropathology and Pediatrics. She was in practice in Fairfax, Virginia, as a general Pediatrician or almost ten years before returning to the West Coast as a member of the Craniofacial Team at Children's Hospital, University of Washington, Seattle, in 1996. Dr. Linda Shaw - is a board certified Pediatrician who received her medical school training at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA and did her pediatrics residency at Jefferson University Medical Center in Philadelphia. She also completed a fellowship in Ambulatory Pediatrics at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. Dr. Shaw has worked in general pediatric practice in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, Lake Forest Illinois, Orange County California, and Altoona Pennsylvania prior to moving to Watsonville in 2004. Her interests and fields of expertise in pediatrics include breastfeeding/lactation support, ADHD management and child abuse. Dr. Shaw and her husband, Dr. Joel Younger, a specialist in sleep disorders and neurology in San Jose, are the parents of four grown children. Dr. Loretta Rao - has been a member of Santa Cruz County's medical community for many years. After originally training in India she did an American Pediatric Residency at Loma Linda University in Southern California and at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. She has practiced both adult and pediatric medicine in our community and joins us after working for many years with other physicians in Watsonville. Dr. Rao's areas of special interest are nutrition, the well-being of children in foste rcare, and has worked as a n expert in the field of child abuse in both California and Hawaii. Dr. Rao and her husband enjoy gardening, bird watching and travel. |
